CELEBRITIES REVEALS THEIR MICHAEL JACKSON THOUGHTS AND CONDOLENCES ON TWITTER

QUINCY D JONES I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news…I’ve lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him.

PATRICE RUSHEN An amazing talent…. wow. I’ve watched & listened to him for so long, for most of his life, and much of mine. R.I.P. Michael.

EYRAKAH BADU It’s taken me a moment to grasp this … I understand life and death are part of the same magnificent cycle. But I literally stopped and broke down when I received ‘ that’ text . Mike’s music lives in my DNA. It’s bigger than tabloids that music shaped me . The freaquency is real My heart and artistry are truly influenced and forever impacted. Thank you Micheal for your hard work , dedication ,philanthropy,& the sacrafice of your young spirit . Your vision and imagination live Thru us. I don’t know what to say. When I hear his music it takes me back to a time , place , smell , event. Even Say Say Say, Ooh lord ebony and ivory, ‘I can’t help it ‘.. From off the wall. What a feeling … What a feeling … What a feeling!!!

GAYLE KING The words remembering and Michael Jackson just do NOT go together. Just can’t believe he is gone. Thinking of his family especially his mom.

LENNY KRAVITZ There will never be another talent like Michael Jackson. Many people are saying what a performer, what an icon. How many Grammy’s he won. How Thriller was the biggest selling album in history. They speak about the controversy and countless other things. But the truth of the matter is he was a boy that God blessed with the most angelic voice. Just listen to an early Jackson Five album and listen to that voice. The purity, the feeling, the interpretation of the lyrics. At the age of ten, he was on par with James Brown and Aretha Franklin. But the thing he had that they could not match was the fact that he was a child. But at the same time he sang as an adult. That line between child and experienced adult took his expression to an unmatched level. I heard somebody on the BBC news tonight say that he was a great singer but didn’t have feeling like James Brown. That somebody is not listening carefully. As a child he did it all. Even if he had not done Off the Wall or Thriller, he would still be a genius in my eyes. I got to work with Michael on a track that has not been released and it was the most amazing experience I’ve had in the studio. He was funny. Very funny and we laughed the whole time. I also saw what a beautiful father he was. He was a beautiful human being. I am deeply saddened this evening. He was the first live performer I ever saw. I got to see him at Madison Square Garden when I was eight. If not for him, I wouldn’t be doing. He gave me joy as a child and showed me the way to go. He was music. Period. His hugeness as a star was great but before he was the King of Pop,he’d said it all. May you rest in peace sweet Michael. You gave us all you had to give. Lenny.

STAR JONES Prayer people for Michael. Let’s talk good stuff about Michael…sending love rather than negativity. I slept outside waiting for tickets for the Thriller tour. Don’t you agree…unlike any artist in history…you can put on any of the cuts from Thriller and everyone will get up and dance! I was in the South of France last year at this party & all they played was MJ & the party was jumping! I love me some Michael Jackson. There are three children and a family who needs to grieve…I’m holding my breath for them. “Death comes to all. But great achievements build a monument.” He IS and WAS the greatest entertainer of all times…Peace to you brother. my little sister (who is 43!) just called me to see if I was ok…because she knows how much I loved Michael Jackson…he was my first love. I know this sounds silly…but no one better tweet anything negative about MJ on my timeline…regardless…I’m not having it on this one. I’m straight up “Blocking those who don’t acknowledge, concede and recognize the Brilliance” of Michael Jackson. I saw young girls of every race, from every country just FALL the hell out! I mean…need oxygen in order to breathe just to be at the show. I was actually in London when the tix went on sale in March…literally he sold out 50 shows in a matter of hours…it was crazy! It is amazing this man could move people with his talent alone. Just brilliant. The “Tonight Show” is going to be on in heaven tonight! Ed McMahon will bring on Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson to sit with Johnny Carson! I’m so serious…the person who took & sold the photo of MJ in the ambulance being intubated that’s on the web needs to get a beatdown! Pls don’t RT any negative links on my timeline…I will have to block you…even if you didn’t write it. I don’t want it spread thru me. I can’t watch anymore news…it is too sad…I just asked my guy to take me out to walk around town so we can celebrate the beauty of life. “Carpe diem! Rejoice while you are alive;enjoy the day; live life to the fullest;make the most of what you have. It’s later than you think.” That is from the ancient roman poet Horace. & Kahlil Gibran said “To be able to look back upon ones life in satisfaction, is to live twice” God Bless you all…and my Michael Jackson SING, DANCE & “THRILL” everyone in heaven tonight. Good Morning everone…in honor of MJ, I plan to celebrate life in EVERY way possible. Join me by exercising your mind, body and spirit!

QUESTLOVE ok….can someone set me straight? cnn aint say shit. come on mike….fucking FIGHT!!!!!!!!! i know we make light of me never getting sleep and overworking. but i’ll say that he didn’t go in vein. i will do my best to slow down as to not overwork myself to the point in which i can’t even enjoy life anymore. im am devastated over this but we all have memories. i just hope that he will get due justice in all the press memorials and whatnot. i know he was mired in controversy the last decade of his life, but i think its time we let him rest in peace and learn to separate the ART and the ARTIST. –that is the MJ i will forever remember. elvis got revisionist media treatment. i expect the friggin same for my hero. lemme find out yall gonna paint this mofo as a freak cnn. im emotional now but i dont want the only american news source i watch talking about the controversial period. aint never heard a peep about elvis as a 24 yr old dating a 14 yr old priscilla, or his drug problems or anything but him being a treasure. dayum!! mj 6/25, aaliyah 9/25, static major 2/25, left eye 4/25, JB 12/25, farah & mj 6/25 im kinda glad sheryl crow was candid and honest about her experiences on cnn. it was “real” but respectful. prince, u r still alive. i love and appreciate all the art you contributed to my life. aint found you yet on my network. but eye no u hear. i wonder how jordan chandler feels about all this… damn….this must be the first time i didn’t watch the show tonight : (
