A four year old girl, who accompanied her grandparents to the Tampa International Airport ingested what is thought to be the drug oxycotin. The drugs were found in a bag of tropical Skittles.
It is not known how the child got the bag of Skittles since she was unsupervised by the grandparents except for a trip to the bathroom with her grandmother in the baggage claim area. Once inside, the two were separated in different stalls.
The child presented the sealed bag of Skittles to her grandfather who opened them for her. The drugs were discovered by the uncle who arrived on a flight to the airport. The uncle poured out some Skittles and before he placed them in his mouth, he discovered the drugs.
After the child appeared to be lethargic, she was taken to a local hospital. That’s when the authorities were called in.
The child is reportedly doing fine, and the authorities are attempting to ascertain how the child came into the possession of the tropical Skittles. Tropical Skittles are not sold at the Tampa International Airport.
Not surprisingly, the authorities have not been unsuccessful in retrieving any helpful information from the little one.
As a precaution, airport officials pulled all flavors of Skittles in the same size package. A check of all the bags showed no signs of drugs or tampering.

The little angel face who has been fighting against malignant tumors since she was three was given 3-6 months to live after doctors discovered growths of the malignancy in her brain which later found its way to her spine.
The daughter of Diana Hislop has endured surgeries, radiation treatments, chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in her gallant fight.
“She always had a dream of being a princess,” said Mayor De La Cruz. “Nothing makes me happier than to see the smile on this little girl’s face.”
A gift bag filled with snacks and coloring books, along with the shopping spree selections of Dora the Explorer and Tinkerbell dolls, a TV for her bedroom, a camera, and a bracelet-making kit generated that radiant smile.
That smile said it all. It punctuated Princess Gildiana’a Cinderella Story.
