Giancarlo Esposito
You’ve seen him in Spike Lee’s School Daze and Do The Right Thing. You may also recognize Giancarlo Esposito from his Broadway performance in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof with Terrence Howard.
This versatile and award winnig actor is now a film director. Gospel Hill is the name of the film starring Samuel L. Jackson, Danny Glover, Angela Bassett, Julia Stiles, Nia Long and RZA.
Esposito also contributed to the writing of this civil right flick detailing the impact of the unsolved murder of a small town civil rights leader on his son.
The star studded drama can be seen on cable’s premium channels. However it’s worth having your own copy.
Mr. Esposito has graciously lent his voice to today’s clip regarding the rights obtained during reconstruction and the U.S. Supreme Court ruling invalidating those rights. Take a look and ask yourself can the same thing happen in a post Obama era.
